rbu Dr. Beat Richner, a humanitarian god of Cambodia

The Most Respected Man after King and Queen-Mother
If asked "In Cambodia, besides King and Queen-Mother, who do you revere the Most?" I, as well as millions of people especially those who have witnessed his untired and unselfish activities in saving millions of ill children's lives in Kuntha Bupha [pediatric] Hospitals in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, surely would say: "It's Doctor Beat Richner from Switzerland. No one in the Kingdom, even the wealthy millionaires here think and do good things to Cambodian children with such high abnegation and unselfishness more than Him."

Every year, either with his Beatocello in concerts here and abroad or through his travels everywhere, notably in his native Switzerland and Europe, he has raised tens of millions of dollars just to support his humanitarian missions: treating and saving Cambodian and foreign children in the Kingdom. No other tycoons, hundreds or thousands in number have paid enough attention as this Humanitarian God has been achieving to the causes of millions of the child patients so far.

On Late His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk's appeal, this man launched in 1992 an international campaign to raise fund and built Kuntha Bupha Child Hospitals one after another -- one of them, the Kuntha Bupha 4 built on a portion of the Phnom Penh Royal Palace campus given Him by His Late Majesty Sihanouk -- to save children's lives in
Cambodia. Now as He gets older and his efforts seem kind of exhausted, he raised his Joint-Hands á la khmére, a gesture usually expressed by the most venerated Late King Sihanouk, in order to pray and solicit whoever who are generous enough to share the donations in support of Kuntha Bupha missions.
