(RBU) Mon Coeur Ne Change Pas L' Amour,

Femme: "Si tu tournes la téte ..."
Homme: "Tu me prends pour une béte?!"
Femme: "Tu es un homme mort, OK?"
Homme: "Pourquoi? Je suis stupéfait!"

Homme: "Quand tu étais jeune comme telle."
Femme: "Tu m' aimais car j' étais belle"
Homme: "Ouais, tu m' attirais pareille."

Femme: "Oui, ouais, c' était moi, alors."
Homme: "Vieux, j' aime toujours une gentille ..." (Mon coeur ne change pas.)
Femme: "Imbécile! Tu voudrais donc la mort?!"

(RBU) BE HEROINE PASSING THROUGH OWN FAILURE

Is she a heroine fallen from grace,
Away from crowd, hiding her face,
Couldn't catch up the lost fame,
Regretting a trophy in her name?

Fiasco's experience, bonny lass,
Triumph's all what to encompass,
He who's not learnt from failure,
Won't find success in the future.

Be strong facing up for discipline,
Heroines can't take other ways,
But follow own dreams of heroine,
To snatch victory some other days.

(RBU) BABIES, A PLAY FOR ADULTS

 Shared publicly  -  3:19 PM
They are a play for adults,
Whether they have agreed,
Upon this game as insults,
Grown up would they plead.

Smile isn't meant agreeing,
As listen isn't that believing,
Tho pleasure's for everyone,
And play be not limited to fun.

My niece was played as such,
As a baby with a photo to see,
Grown up she cried "too much,"
A kind of play she didn't agree.

(RBU) A FORM OF KHMER CENTURIES-OLD MARTIAL ARTS OR KHMER BOXING

Ha, it's a form of the ancient Khmer boxing! This kind of Khmer fighting game is one of Khmer cultural heritage from times immemorial, even before Angkor era, as it was shown by reliefs on the walls of Angkor Wat, Siem Reap province, Kingdom of Cambodia. It is also a combat sport that through centuries has been performed at big national events such as the annual New Year, PhchumBend, etc.

My late granddad, master of 8-Main Khmer martial arts had said it was part of Lbokaktao and Khmer ancient Martial Arts.

It has also been practiced in Thailand, Laos and Southern Vietnam which used to be parts of the Great Khmer Empire that covered most parts of the present South East Asia peninsula.

You are very knowledgeable indeed!
This is Muay Thai however, although very close to Khmer boxing!

And yes, back when Funan was the name of the empire they had martial arts very similar to this, but more battle oriented.

The ancient tribes that perfected some of the moves still live there today!

Puthpong Sao  29 May 2013  2:13 PM (edited)

+Aaron Veverka Thank you indeed. I don't mean to challenge you on the matter. Whether it's Muay Thai or a true form of Khmer Boxing, only the in-depth research and study of history of The Great Khmer Empire will shine the Truth for you and those who love the truth.

Aaron Veverka  29 May 2013  2:09 PM

Lol! I've studied it! And yes, the kingdom dates back to ancient Egyptian times; and they were just as rich!

It's a beautiful history! I love reading of Angkor Wat and the ancient people!
They even traded with people in the west!

It really was one of the mightiest nations!

Puthpong Sao  29 May, 2013  2:38 PM (edited)

+Aaron Veverka sorry if my comments are disturbing.  Do you know? Years ago while reading a comment letter (in Phnom Penh Post) of an international Khmer attorney Touch Bora, living in Australia, about one of his Thai friend's family, I felt moved to silent tears. His Thai friend is a Khmer native who took him to see his family in Thailand. And his pal's mother related to him of their Khmer origin and millions of Khmer people of Thai citizenship live there generations and centuries and dare not tell their young of their Khmer ancestry and speak Khmer only among old people of their household within their home. How do you feel, then, Dear Aaron? Reading Benefits You: http://www.r-b-u.blogspot.com

I have had friends here in the U.S.that survived the Khmer Rouge.
One of them had most of his family killed, however found his uncle over here.
The other was thrown into a fire, because they thought she was dead, so they threw her in with the other dead bodies.
She waited till they left and crawled to safety.
Although she still bares the scars.

So I know what you're talking about good sir.
It was a bad time, and I hope it gets better for all the Khmer people!

Like I said, you are very knowledgeable indeed!
It is very nice to talk to you!

Aaron Veverka  29 May, 2013  2:47 PM

I have great respect for the Khmer, so I hope you know I very much hold you and your people in great respect.

I believe they are among some of the oldest cultures, and I do love to study your history.

+Aaron Veverka my heartfelt thank for your friendship.
My poetic wish:
All the best from God,

 Beautiful poem +Puthpong Sao !

Puthpong Sao  29 May 2013  6:15 PM

+Aaron Veverka in the times of Funan -- it's around 6th and 7th AD -- there hadn't yet been Siam which was just created in the 14th century on where were then the territories of Khmer Empire. Siam changed its name to the current one as Thailand in the first half of the 20th century, that is, 600 years later. You can consult American scholars' works on Khmer history like those of historian Dr. Michael Vickery.

Several times in recent past, some Thai officials allegedly tried to persuade Khmer [Cambodian] high-echelon officials to consider changing the name of the province of Siem Reap -- literally and originally meaning "the Siamese [aggressors were] subdued" -- to Siam Rastra, but they failed.

How do they taste who knows?
Those tasted them know those.

"Phlae svymeans "purple fruit,"
That is a Khmer word for mango.
Maybe it tastes sour when green.
The species is never seen here, tho'

Yes, I'll accept your wish "God Bless You"
That you, of course, mean May God bless me,
And the bliss as our life is all due.
Whose would you like your lovely lips to be?

O the lovely lips of yours for who?

Any man or me will be lucky,
Or just in dreams all I have to do,
What should I say to feel self-pity?

Moon explosion visible from Earth

The End of the World is Near (?),
Said some scientists at NASA,
But why would all humans fear?
A prediction's one after another,

A giant planet is approaching Earth,
It's another thing of Death and Birth,
That's nothing for all of us to fear,
Whether any Death is far or near.

moon
(CNN) — A meteoroid struck the surface of the moon recently, causing an explosion that was visible on Earth without the aid of a telescope, NASA reported Friday. But don’t be alarmed if you didn’t see it; it only lasted about a second.
“It exploded in a flash nearly 10 times as bright as anything we’ve ever seen before,” said Bill Cooke, of NASA’s Meteoroid Environment Office.
NASA astronomers have been monitoring the moon for the past eight years, looking for explosions caused by meteoroids hitting the lunar surface. It’s part of a program to find new fields of space debris that could hit Earth. NASA says it sees hundreds of detectable lunar meteoroid impacts a year.
None however can match the size of the explosion they say they saw March 17. NASA says the meteoroid was about 40 kilograms and less than a meter wide, and it hit the moon’s surface at 56,000 mph. It glowed like a 4th magnitude star, NASA says, thanks to an explosion equivalent to 5 tons of TNT.
“It jumped right out at me, it was so bright,” said Ron Suggs of the Marshall Space Flight Center.
Cooke says Earth was pelted by meteoroids at about the same time, but they hit the moon because it has no atmosphere to protect it.
“We’ll be keeping an eye out for signs of a repeat performance next year when the Earth-moon system passes through the same region of space,” Cooke said.
If you’re wondering how there can be an explosion on the moon, without oxygen, NASA has the answer for you. It says the flash of light comes not from any type of combustion — as we typically think of explosions — but rather by the glowing molten rock at the impact site.
